Week in Review

Fitness/Yoga:
It is now Sunday evening and I am trying to recall what kind of exercise I have done this week. I walked twice and did 10-15 minutes of yoga after walking. I walked another time and did abs and stretching afterwards, and did 1 power yoga level 3 DVD. I signed up for a free boot camp that starts August 31. One can work out up to 6 times per week for four weeks. I think I will like this, but don't want to loose any progress in certain poses that I have been gaining in yoga. I felt really flexible on Friday when doing yoga. Maybe it is improvement, or was I just feeling more flexible that day? Maybe I can do a short yoga routine in the morning (ugh, that means at 5 am) during this boot camp, or after.

I toured Mountainside Fitness Gym this week. I think I would like to join a gym in order to have variety - yoga, other exercise classes, weight lifting. The downside is the monthly payment :( Before joining, I would need to check out the classes to see if I like them, otherwise, it would not be beneficial to me.

Next week's fitness goals: Yoga - 4 x's (Monday Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), walk or ride bike 3-4 times.

Other Info.:
This was a nice and relaxing weekend, although I am still feeling a little anxious about the start of school. Tomorrow I will finish up lesson plans for the first week and get those emailed to my principal. Tuesday I will try to process some books. Wednesday we have a back to school party from 5-7, I believe (I need to figure out where). Wednesday or Thursday we should be able to get into the temporary location to set up classrooms, and Friday is "Meet the Teacher" from 5-7.

Amel and I found some dining room chairs today at a good price. The only problem is we need to decide tonight if they really fit with the table and other furniture. Who knew chairs would be more than the table?

Finding energy

Fitness/Yoga
After a day of working in less than ideal conditions and not getting much sleep, I didn't have much energy for yoga. I can usually muster up the strength to go for a walk, which is what I did. I walked for about 50 minutes, from my house to Target and back. Actually, I walked most of the 50 minutes and threw in a little jogging, maybe a total of 5 minutes? I was happy it was only 100 degrees when I left for my walk.

After some ice water, I did some ab exercises and 10-15 minutes of yoga, making up my own routine. I did some sun salutations and practiced a few things I have been working on - holding myself about an inch off the ground in a plank position, pigeon pose, and crow (start off in a head stand with knees on elbow, then lift head off ground).

My eating habits are not quite back on track after a weekend of over eating. A trip to the grocery store to buy healthy food is in order. First I need to make some kind of menu. Maybe tomorrow? Maybe not until Thursday.

Other Info.
Tomorrow - working from home, processing library books. I hope to finish my level 3 Bryan Kest DVD tomorrow in the midst of working and doing laundry.
